About Tilke Engineers and Architects
Since 1984, Tilke has been working on national and international projects. Their broad range of services includes the disciplines civil engineering, architecture as well as electromechanical engineering and electronic engineering. With more than 130 employees they cover all phases in the field of architecture and engineering, from the first initial concept to detailed design, construction supervision and project management.
Formula-1-Circuit Istanbul
For more than 20 years, the engineering plant of Tilke GmbH is constructing circuits for car racing. When planning, the ones in charge put their trust in VESTRA CAD, thus, for instance, in case of the circuits in Bahrain, Shanghai, and the new one Istanbul. The latter was installed on an area of some two million square meters. The first Formula-1 season there was launched in August 2005. The circuit measures 5.333 km, with 12.5 to generous 21.5 meters for good passing allowance. The straight section of 720 m admits top speeds up to 320 km/h.
