Project in Dammam

Planning at the Persian Gulf

In Dammam, Saudi Arabia, as part of the development of a massive cultural and recreational area, the road network along the coast was newly constructed. A 6-lane main road, which connects to the so-called King Abdullah Civic Center, needs to be rebuilt in large sections. The main connection was made via a roundabout (120 m in diameter). Biechele Infra Consult planned all the road new construction and redevelopment measures for the entire project using VESTRA.

User Feedback

“VESTRA proved to be a useful tool – especially for implementing intersection designs that are less common in Germany. For example, we designed two large roundabouts (up to 120 meters in diameter), which feature a 3-lane circulating roadway, as well as 3-lane entrances and 3-lane exits. Additionally, a special oval shape with approximately 200 meters in length and 3 lanes was created in VESTRA. The execution of this unusual project required a powerful tool. With its functionalities, VESTRA enabled fast and efficient project work.”
