Turbo roundabout Oberwart (Austria)
To improve the performance of the B50/B63a roundabout, Woschitz Engineering was commissioned to design the first turbo roundabout in Burgenland, the easternmost state of Austria, in the district town of Oberwart. The existing B50/B63a roundabout in the western part of Oberwart is one of the most important traffic hubs in the city’s outskirts. It connects the B63a (the northern and southern bypass of Oberwart) with the B50 Burgenlandstraße, one of the most important main roads in southern Burgenland, Austria, in the district suburb of Oberwart. For this project, the Woschitz Group also used the VESTRA software.
